Montaque N "Monty" Brown (born April 13, 1970)is an American professional wrestler and former National Football League linebacker. He is currently signed to World Wrestling Entertainment where he wrestles for the ECW brand under the ring name "The Alpha Male" Marcus Cor Von, though he is also known for his time with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling as "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown.
Career
Brown was trained to be a professional wrestler by Dan "The Beast" Severn and Sabu, and made his in ring debut on May 6, 2001.
On November 16, 2006, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced that Monty Brown had signed a contract with the company through WWE.com. They referred to him as a former linebacker for the Buffalo Bills, without mentioning his time spent in TNA. On January 16, 2007, Brown debuted for the ECW brand under the ring name "The Alpha Male" Marquis Cor Von, securing a victory over fellow TNA alumni Cassidy Riley. Reportedly the name change was motivated by World Wrestling Entertainment's want to have him appear under a name they could trademark. One week later, the spelling of the first name was tweaked to Marcus. Not long after his debut he was made a part of the forming New Breed stable, and with them made his WrestleMania (and WWE PPV) debut at WrestleMania 23 as part of their feud with the ECW Originals. Eventually, the New Breed would feud with the ECW Originals, CM Punk and the Major Brothers at the same time. At One Night Stand, Elijah Burke, Matt Striker and Marcus Cor Von were defeated by Tommy Dreamer, Sandman, and CM Punk in a Tables Match.
